A Summary of Rukshan’s speech at Novosibirusk
There are two major paradigms in the information technology which are going to
fundamentally change the way we deal with the information:1. Artificial Intelligence and 2.
Quantum Computation. Artificial intelligence has already hit the market and data science
has become the buzz word both in industry and academics. However, there is yet another
computational revolution which is presently underway and is the focus of immense
frontier research and it is the paradigm of quantum computation which has become the holy
grail for science and technology.
I have been working on quantum computation for few years and I presented my
recent research. In my presentation I showed some quantum systems have
very robust properties which make them very suitable for quantum computation.
I also presented mathematical understanding about the robustness of
these systems for quantum computation
